Town of Black Mountain's Recreation and Parks.
The town of Black Mountain adopted a Greenway Master Plan in 2000. When complete it will consist of a continuous greenway connecting Montreat, Old Fort and Ridgecrest to Black Mountain and continue west to Swannanoa. The goal of the Black Mountain Greenway Challenge 5k/10k is to raise awareness and support for the Greenway. All proceeds from the race will be donated to the Black Mountain Greenway Commission.
